Ipoh's Food

Cong Yin Pork Noodles, Ipoh Garden South

The noodle shop is located at 30, Lebuh Raya Taman Ipoh, Taman Ipoh Selatan.

The best noodle produced in Ipoh is the Hor-fan(河粉), which is tasty due to its trace of mineral water from the limestone hills.Cong Yin noodle shop served Chinese meat noodle soup; namely hor-fan, mee, bee-hoon, lor-sho-fan. The ingredients are pork meat , pig organs, and vegetables.

Note: According to wikipedia:

1. Miàn (traditional Chinese: 麵; simplified Chinese: 面; often transliterated as "mien" or "mein" ) ,or Mee , refers to noodles made from wheat,
2. Fěn (粉) or "fun" or fan refers to noodles made from rice flour, mung bean starch, or indeed any kind of starch.

Cong Yin is the name for ancient Chinese scholars who passed the imperial examination, and ranked first in the examination. Wonder why it is called Cong Yin noodle, perhaps the NO. 1 noodle ....

The shop is popular, and you need patient to wait for your serve.
