Batu Ferringhi, Gurney Drive, or to Tanjung City Marina to have a panoramic view of the ferry, private boats, yachts... and the night view of the Penang Channel. For the die hard Malaysian, there are Mamak stalls and coffee shops at night. The old Esplanade, for those who are still dreaming of throwing orange into the sea, looking at the sea and waiting for the mermaid to come .......
How about a night tour of cemetery?
The common past time at night for Penang people in the old days, is sitting at the street bench, in the coffee shop, mamak stalls; watching people pass by.......but the heritage life style is now missing........they prefer to watch TV, play computer games, play macheong. Some locals are still working late at night at the Bayan Lepas factory..........
