Paul the Octopus won FIFA Football World Cup2010

Spain is the 2010 FIFA World Cup Champion. Paul the Octopus has predicted accurately the world cup champion. Spain is the Champion, and Paul the Octopus won the game....

Spain’s place among world football’s all-time greatest teams was assured Sunday when Andres Iniesta scored with four minutes of extra time remaining to beat the Netherlands 1-0 and clinch his country’s first World Cup.

With the teams facing a penalty shootout after an often ill-tempered game of few clear chances, Iniesta collected a sliding pass into the area from substitute Cesc Fabregas and smashed the ball across goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and in at the far post.

The goal clinched Spain’s fourth straight 1-0 victory in South Africa and made the team only the third to be world and European champion at the same time.

Lineups:

Netherlands: Maarten Stekelenburg, Gregory van der Wiel, John Heitinga, Joris Mathijsen, Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Edson Braafheid, 105), Mark van Bommel, Nigel de Jong (Rafael van der Vaart, 99), Dirk Kuyt (Eljero Elia, 71), Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie.

Spain: Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique, Joan Capdevila, Sergio Busquets, Xabi Alonso (Cesc Fabregas, 87), Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Pedro Rodriguez (Jesus Navas, 60), David Villa (Fernando Torres, 106).

Mani, the parakeet from Singapore predict wrongly, perhaps she is overworked. She did select once Spain will win, but select more times that Holland will win. Mani as its name will continue to be an ordinary money making machine for her owner. She will have new role in future, prediction for the betting games in Singapore, and future football matches (legal or illegal). Mani missed the chance to make Singapore famous, she is overworked by the owner, and lost its sense of accuracy....she is under pressure to perform. Poor Mani.....

Again Spain is the Champion....With the win by Spain, Paul the Octopus won the match....

What happen to Octopus after the championship?....Will the Dutch football fan cross the border and cook the Octopus or will the Spain awarded a knighthood for the Octopus? How about Germany, the have the consolation of 3rd placing, are they still angry with Paul the Octopus, their own Octopus?

Will Spain offer the transfer money for Paul the Octopus to become Spanish citizen? If not Spain need to pay a handsome rental for Paul the Octopus to follow the victory parade with the Spain football team. How Spain is going to thank Paul the Octopus, without him can Spain won with only one goal after extra time? it may be Holland that win..How will Spain reward Paul the Octopus?...

May be Germany is the actual champion, Paul the Octopus become famous; and they can set up a museum or memorial hall for him, earning tourist money(not gaming money)...Paul the Octopus is from Germany. Paul the Octopus predicted the football match without fear or favor. The Octopus has the sporting spirit, better than the actual football player.....he is from Germany, the icon for world football, the hero for clean football.....

But ironically Paul has only limited time left for a an octopus, he cannot predict anymore...may be a memorial hall for Paul the Octopus will be built in Germany! Entrance fee US$100 per adult. Octopus toy will be a hit for children, a patent should be applied, Paul the Octopus is for Germany. Octopus cap, Octopus T shirt, Octopus brand will be famous.....

For Holland, the famous octopus meal.....is the last resort to salvage some financial gain... Holland need to find a good chef to cook octopus.

Football and Octopus will be the story for a long time....

As FIFA Football World Cup is now history, The Octopus Hit Wave is now on......Octopus branded goods is going to flood the market.

The time now is for Octopus...
