林毅夫
林毅夫,男,生于1952年10月15日,籍贯:台湾,宜兰。经济学家。曾是第7、8、9届全国政协委员,现任北京大学中国经济研究中心主任、教授,博士生导师。世界银行
学历:台湾大学农业工程系肄业,1971;台湾政治大学企业管理研究所硕士,1978。北京大学经济系政治经济学专业硕士,1982。美国芝加哥大学经济系博士,1986 。美国耶鲁大学经济发展中心博士后,1987。
工作简历:1987-90年任国务院农村发展研究中心发展研究所副所长,1990-93年,任国务院发展研究中心农村部副部长,1994年至今,任北京大学中国经济研究中 心主任。
研究领域:发展经济学、农业经济学、制度经济学。
2008年2月4日,世界银行行长罗伯特·佐利克(Robert Zoellick)正式任命北京大学经济学教授林毅夫为世行首席经济学家兼负责发展经济学的高级副行长。世行的首席经济学家在拟定研究计划及发展方向上扮演相当重要的决策 角色,林毅夫出任世银首席经济学家将更进一步转变世银与中国的关系。林毅夫是首位在世界银行或国际货币基金组织获得如此高职位的中国人。

Justin Yifu Lin
Justin Yifu Lin served as the Chief Economist and Senior
Vice President of the World Bank from June 2008 to June 1, 2012. Mr. Lin is the
World Bank’s first chief economist from a developing country.
Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Lin served for 15 years as
Founding Director and Professor of the China Centre for Economic Research
(CCER) at Peking University.
Mr. Lin received his PhD in economics from the University of
Chicago in 1986 and is the author of 18 books, including The China Miracle:
Development Strategy and Economic Reform and Economic Development and
Transition: Thought, Strategy, and Viability. He has published more than 100
articles in refereed international journals and collected volumes on history,
development, and transition. In 2007, he gave the Marshall Lectures at
Cambridge; and in 2011, the Simon Kuznets Lecture at Yale and the UNU Wider
Annual Lecture in Mozambique, the first ever to be held in a developing
country.
Justin Yifu Lin was a deputy of China’s People’s Congress,
Vice Chairman of Committee for Economic Affairs of Chinese People’s Political
Consultation Conference and Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of
Industry and Commerce. He served on several national and international
committees, leading groups, and councils on development policy, technology, and
environment including: the UN Millennium Task Force on Hunger; the Eminent
Persons Group of the Asian Development Bank; the National Committee on United
States-China Relations; the Global Agenda Council on the International Monetary
System; Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee; and the Hong Kong-U.S. Business
Council.
He was awarded the 1993 and 2001 Sun Yefang Prize (the
highest honour for economists in China), the 1993 Policy Article Prize of
Centre for International Food and Agricultural Policy at University of
Minnesota, the 1997 Sir John Crawford Award of the Australian Agricultural and
Resource Economics Society, the 1999 Best Article Prize of the Australian
Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, the Citation Classic Award in
2000 (by Social Science Citation Index) and honorary doctoral degrees from
Universite D’Auvergne, Fordham University, Nottingham University and City
University of Hong Kong. Most recently, he was awarded the Professional Achievement
Award by the University of Chicago Alumni Association. He is a Fellow of the
Academy of Sciences for the Developing World and a Corresponding Fellow of the
British Academy.

He may be part of
the economic success of China....he is Chinese chief Economist..the
founder of China Center for Economic Research, CCER(中国经济研究中心). It is an
economics think tank in Peking University, China. It was opened in
August 1994, and is directed by Justin Yifu Lin.
The most important decision is to know when to exercise
right when the time is ripe. Even people think you are the odd one, and others may think that
you are stupid, but you know that what is the right decision....and he make all Chinese proud for his achievement, China mainland or Taiwan...
