Their work shop was at Lorong Kulit, near City stadium.
Paramount Cinema(normally showing tamil movie) was on the left of Chung Hwa Confucian School. At that time the school only offered until lower secondary school(Form3).Later on it was shifted to Green Lane, within the residential area. They now offered until Form6. The name you mentioned is correct.
On the right of the school is Li Teik Primary School. On the right of Li Teik was Capital Cinema(normally popular for English movie). At the right corner was Emporium supermarket at Penang Road, the first supermarket in Penang(if not mistaken). Those days cinema was the most popular meeting place for the young.Boon Raymondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10332443550994647469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2277486862110169302.post-57848520033964296612009-03-08T23:52:00.000+08:002009-03-08T23:52:00.000+08:00Paramount cinema on Prangin road is beside the Chu...Paramount cinema on Prangin road is beside the Chung Hwa Confucian School, and not the Confucious Secondary School.

If not mistaken, City Council Bus also was one of the main bus also.
